Debra Parker Devall, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2021 in Gonzales, LA at the age of 67. Debra was born in Baton Rouge, LA on November 11, 1953 to Elige “Jr.” and Annie B. Parker. Debra graduated from Glen Oaks High School in 1971. She began her career at American Bank and then went on to host parties for Home Interiors for many years so she could stay at home during the day with her girls. Once the girls started school, Debra worked as an Accounting Clerk for United General Title, Volunteers of America, and ABL Management, where she retired.
Debra was a fun and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She had an infectious smile with a sweet soul and would light up every room she walked into. Debra’s passion was decorating for every holiday. Between her attention to detail and head-to-toe outfits, she fully immersed you in her spirit for the occasion. She LOVED to entertain, and it brought her such joy to fill her home with family and friends. On weekends, you could always find Debra working in her yard, lounging around the pool, or cooking big family meals for all to enjoy. She was a proud grandmother and enjoyed attending all her grandkids’ sporting and extracurricular activities. Debra also enjoyed watching her LSU Tigers and you would always see her decked out in LSU gear. Her smile, laughter and fun-loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her.
Debra is survived by her three daughters, Andrea Mayers and husband- Aaron, Anisha Devall, and Allyson Hull and husband- Jeremy; seven grandchildren- Kaleb Hull, Reese Forbes, Trace Forbes, Gabi Forbes, Carter Hull, Dane Forbes, and Chance Hull. She is also survived by her sister Gerry Cupit (Harold), cousin Jane Mathews (Mickey), companion Jim Franklin, and many more relatives and friends.
