Breanna (Bree) received her wings on October 2, 2014, at age 13. She completed her journey here on Earth but took on a new role of watching over us in heaven. God had a plan for Bree and she surpassed that plan. She not only touched the hearts of her family and friends, but she has inspired many out there that did not have the honor of meeting her. Bree taught us the true meaning of strength, courage, perseverance, and sassiness. She was on a rollercoaster that only went up. Her attitude and strength were shown as she "kicked AML's butt". Prior to acute myeloid leukemia, Bree enjoyed cheering, dancing, singing, and spending time with family and friends. She was a part of the Dutchtown Middle, LA Athletics, and Northern Lights cheer squads. Bree was not only an inspiration to her family and friends; she was the world to her mother. Her mother was her butterfly and now she is her mother's guardian angel. There is no stronger bond than the bond between mother and child. Bree is a role model and her mother set the bar of what a mother should be. She never left her side. Night and day, the rough times and the good times, she was always there since birth. Bree gave you no choice. If you were her parent you would understand why. Although the pain will never go away, there is no prouder mother than that because of Breanna's accomplishments in life. The angel that is with us is a true reflection of the mother that raised her. She is survived by her loving mother, Dara Hutchinson Bertucci; dad, Sal Bertucci; father, Jason Bercegeay; brothers, Brock Anthony and Braxtyn Michael Bertucci; grandparents, MiMi Lori Hutchinson, Paw Paw Michael Hutchinson and Maw Maw Michelle Gaudin, Granny Sallie Bertucci, Connie Duplesis; great-grandparents, Paw Paw Ronald and Granny Kathy Stott, Maw Maw June Ballard; godparents, Uncle Dane Hutchinson, Nanny Desiree Watts; favorite Aunt Dawn Howe; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins not listed. Preceded in death by Paw Paw Russell Ballard and Maw Maw Ethel Stott. Pallbearers include Richard Bercegeay, Jimbo Gravois, Dane Hutchinson, Michael Hutchinson, Jacob Karam, and Ronald Stott. Honorary pallbearers include Brock and Braxtyn Bertucci, Jackson Carter, and Brennan Williams. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm followed by a religious service conducted by Pastor Mike Haman at Healing Place Church (Highland Road), Baton Rouge, LA. Burial will follow at Hope Haven Cemetery (Hwy 30), Gonzales, LA. It is asked by the family to wear Bree's favorite colors (purple and pink or any other vibrant colors) to honor the moment. Now that Bree is cheering with her fellow angels, we will always keep cheering for Breanna until we meet with her again.
