Betty Jean Nielsen

Betty Jean Nielsen, 65, a native of Natchitoches, LA, and resident of St. Amant, LA, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She is survived by her husband, Chris Nielsen; one daughter, Meshelle Mobley (Perry) of Natchitoches, LA; four grandchildren, Paige Dyess (Jonathan) of Livingston, LA, Dylan Cheatwood (Marie), Katelyn Miley, and Kelsie Miley of Natchitoches, LA; five great grandchildren, Gabrielle Shaw, Donny Dyess, Atlas Dyess, of Livingston, LA, Weston Cheatwood, and Hayston Cheatwood of Natchitoches, LA, and one brother, T.J. Ivy Jr. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Pearl Harrison Ivy and one brother, Jerry Ivy. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund for Ascension Baptist Church or Coldwater Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Ascension Baptist Church in Gonzales, LA, from 9am until service at 11am. Burial to follow on Friday, October 16, 2020 for 11:00 am at Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA.
