Bart David Breaux, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021, at the age of 50. He was a native of Gonzales, LA and a resident of St. Amant, LA. Bart was employed with EATEL as a Network Administrator for 30 years. Bart was also the proud owner of Leader’s Fried Chicken in Gonzales, LA. He was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church for most of his life; there he received all of his sacraments. For the last 10 years of his journey, Bart found a new place to worship at Household of Faith. There he was water baptized and further grew in his faith. Bart, following the footsteps of his father, became a phenomenal jambalaya cook and assisted in the Knights of Columbus. He was a member of Reggio Marsh Club where he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family and best friends. Bart was also a supporter of Gonzales Jambalaya Association, Coastal Conservation Association “CCA” and Delta Waterfowl. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles “Black” Breaux, Sr. Bart leaves behind, his loving wife of 29 years, Angela Wall Breaux; mother, Joyce Causey Breaux; son, Blaise David Breaux (Sophie Landry); daughter, Brianna Marie Breaux (Laney Leon, who was like a son to Bart), sisters; Wendy LeBlanc (Glynn), Melanie Decoteau (Christopher “Butch”); brother, Charles “Chuck” Breaux, Jr., Ricky Breaux, Todd Breaux (JoAnn), Roby Breaux (Denise), Joey Breaux (Adrienne); sister-in-law, Alicia Wall Wild (John); mother-in-law Jill Lamendola Wall; father-in-law Tom Maynard, and Don Wall (Pat); Godchildren, Dean Breaux and Justin Breaux; Godfather, Charles “Chuck” Breaux, Jr.; Godmother, Cheryl Babin; and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Bart was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed working and rebuilding antique vehicles, cooking and catering, boating, music and DJ’ing, and spending time at the camp. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, including coaching his kids’ baseball and softball teams. All who knew him loved him dearly and will truly miss him. The family of Bart thanks all of the doctors, nurses and staff of Our Lady of the Lake for their love, compassion and care. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 from 5pm-8pm at Ourso Funeral Home-Gonzales. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 9am-11am at Household of Faith with funeral services immediately following. Pallbearers are Blane Brignac, Laney Leon, Duane Melancon, Yancy Hebert, Brad Frans, Jeff Alexander, Chad Duplessis and Brent Guedry. Honorary Pallbearers are Blaise Breaux, Joey Breaux and Chuck Breaux. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
