Loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, she passed away at age 54 on Thursday, July 28, 2011, as a result of an automobile accident. She was a resident of St. Amant and a retired saleswoman for Bellsouth, where she worked for 30 years. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, an avid LSU fan and loved dogs and fishing. She is survived by her mother, Lottie Engels; two sons, Dante Romano and wife Emily, and Matthew Romano; two stepsons, Jeremy Bercegeay and Steve Romano Jr.; two stepdaughters, Brook Bercegeay and Pam Lewis; four sisters, Kitty Thibodeaux, Linda Richardson and husband Larry, Mary Rogers and husband Bill, and Yvette Babin and husband Mac; four brothers, Johnny Engels and wife e

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bercegeay; and father, Bert Engels.
