Adeline Agnes Guedry, 84 passed away at her residence in St. Amant Monday April 18, surrounded by her friends and family. She was a native of New Orleans and a longtime resident of St. Amant. She was a graduate of Westwego High School. She was employed in her early years with Avondale Shipyard, and later retired from the Ascension Parish School Board where she worked many years in the food service department. Mrs. Guedry was active in the Ladies Auxiliary # 892, Cancer Research, VFW Post #3963, Volunteer at Fellowship Center, Catholic Daughters Association, served at Azalea Lakes and was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
She was survived by her three sons; Philip Guedry, Jr. of Baton Rouge, Kyle Michael Guedry and Glenn Paul Guedry both of St. Amant. One brother; Russell Orgeron of St. Amant. 8 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
Proceeded in death by her husband Philip Guedry, Sr, her parents; Bernie and Agnes Orgeron, her son Craig Michael Guedry passed away 33 years ago.
Visitation starting Thursday at 5 to 9pm at Ourso Funeral Home in Gonzales, and on Friday 9 to 11am at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in St. Amant, Fr. Michael Galea will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Mausoleum.
