Roberto Mena Guzman

A beloved father, Son, Brother and Grandfather and Great Grandfather. Born on October 9th of 1934 in La Piedad Michoacán Mexico, then brought to Baja Mexicali Mexico where he was raised. He was the Son of Amando and Gabina Mena Guzman, a brother of 11 siblings, 5 sisters and 7 brothers. He was the 2nd of his siblings to come to the US to help out his family. While working here he ran into a Beautiful soul Esperanza Michaela Camacho Baez, Who he fell in love with and married and had 5 amazing beautiful children. Roberto was a very strong and independent man, he was very strong willed and did everything he set his mind too. He always did what ever he could or needed to do for his family. He was always a big Family man and loved the small or big gatherings they had. He was a very smart man and he taught his children many things and his children passed it on to his Grandchildren and great grandchildren. What Roberto loved to do most was sing loud with those he loved and for all to hear. He also loved to play dominoes with his grandchildren and children. He was a man that loved food whether it was eating it making it or watching others eat and enjoy what he has made. Robertos favorite food was a double dipped pastrami from The Hat. Some of Robertos hobbies was to go on walks, he loved to find a nice corner of anywhere and just watch everything whether it was cars, people, or nature. He loved Animals he had a special place in his heart for them. Roberto would love to watch Animal Planet and learn all the different things about animals or nature. He also loved plants he had many flowers, plants, and trees around his home that he loved to take care of and water. Roberto loved to spend his time at the senior center with lots of friends that he can talk with,Not only did Robertos love to talk but he loved to tell stories, stories about his life and what he’s done. Roberto also loved to talk about God and tell others the great things about him and stories from the Bible. He loved to crack jokes and stump people with riddles. Roberto was loved widely and very deeply and His family and friends We’re so blessed to have such and amazing man in our lives for 86 years. Although it is with great sadness that his family no longer has him here physically they know that he’s is now always with them and he’s is now with his God dancing and singing in the sky.
