Tío Jorge was a good man. His kindness and humor were infectious. He loved our family and we love him too. He was a light in the family and he will forever be missed. I will especially miss the days he would hang out with my dad & the rest of his siblings. They would talk about old times and good times until they roasted each other into tears, it was the best! Our time with him was a blessing and I feel fortunate to be able to say he was my Tio. I pray that God may bring comfort to our broken hearts but our faith teaches us that without grief there is no love and Tio Jorge sure showed everyone Love. ‘Til we meet again Tio. 

On behalf of my family, I would like to thank you all for your support thoughts and prayers for our dad Jorge Ruiz Gonzalez his family and loved ones. We have received countless phone calls, emails, texts, fliers and financial support. They have been a reminder of the impact our dad had on so many others.  Due to the Covid Pandemic we are unable to have a church ceremony or viewing for all to come and say their goodbyes and till we meet again.  Our dad leaves behind his legacy, his wife Maria Rufina Ruiz his six children and eight grandchildren his sister and four brothers.  My name is Alejandra Rojas-Ruiz, I am Jorge’s second eldest daughter.  Our dad was an amazing caring funny lovable and very very patient man. Our dad was the ROCK that held his family and siblings together. For those whom had the opportunity of meeting our dad, our dad was the life of any gathering. Our dad was everyone’s mechanic electrician and plumber. You ask and dad will try his best to fix it. If you needed a ride our dad was there. If you needed someone to talk to our dad was there. If you had financial troubles our dad would do whatever he could to help even though he was going through hard times himself. If you needed a place to stay our dad would find a way to take you under his roof. “OUR DAD WAS THERE”.  Our dad loved to dance. If you needed a dance partner our dad was there. As sick as dad was dad wanted to listen to “La Chona”. Dad in his bed would move his shoulders and legs smile and laugh. Dad would say play it again! And when dad was to tired, he would wiggle his toes and tap
His fingers on his thigh. So when you here La Chona playing our dad is right there dancing along. Lastly, I would like to share some of dad’s grandpa’s and Tio’s favorite sayings. “Adios!” “No mansss” “Oy Este” “maggiessss” “Mariaaaa”  “ A poco!” “Oy Tu!”and when dad grandpa Tio didn’t understand you or you didn’t understand him. Dad would do his famous lip smacking  “mmmmist!” We love you Dad grandpa.

With a heavy heart as  We remember my uncle Jorge  I had so many great memories with this non judgmental man as far as I can remember he always had a smile on his face 😊and  there were many times he was there too console me when I was down and out. I will miss him dearly but always hold him close to my heart.  I had the privilege of working with him and I’m so grateful for the life long lessons he taught me as a young man! Goodbye for  now uncle until we meet again .

My favorite memories I have of my uncle Jorge is when my Mom had Gabby  my sis. and we couldn't be around her. So on rainy night my Uncle Jorge came over pick me and my brother up from the house and took us with his family to Shakeys for dinner had a great time. He always made you feel welcome and loved and have always been a great Tio. Going to miss you but never forget how great of an uncle you were rest in peace. Tio, Till we meet again. 

I’m glad I got the chance to meet this wonderful man who was the sweetest kindest man every time I seen him he was. Always smiling  and cracking jokes ❤️ I enjoyed talking to him and dancing with him 😊 Heaven has  gained another angel  you will be missed dearly but all the wonderful memories of you will never be forgotten !  Farewell for now until we meet again .....

My uncle was one of few people that I could talk to as a rebellious teen. As a kid I recall My uncle stopping by after work to check on mom. Once he arrived it was all about hugs  and kisses. He always filled her heart with joy when she needed it the most. The love for his sister was unconditional. Today as an adult, I thank you for all the happy memories we shared. Uncle Jorge , Your sweet smile and your kind spirit will remain within us forever❤️

"Pops" as I knew him was , a great father,  a great husband , a great son and awsome brother.  He never said No! Or fussed the many times I asked him for help on my broken down cars.   As a kid  I wandered the streets alot, some may say I still do, but my best memory is "Pops" would always receive me with a  warm smile and would always ask me if I had already eaten.  As if his large family was  not enough he always made room for One more. MG BURGERS were the best! Thank you "Pops"  Your loving ways and kind heart  will forever be remembered.  For me this is not a final good bye it's more of a see you later "Pops".😉😇

2 Corinthians 5:8  says "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord"
