Alicia Contreras nació Agosto 6, 1951 en Nayarit Mexico. Sus padres eran Ramona y Alfredo Contreras. Se casó en Mexico y cambió su nombre a Alicia Arellano. Se vino a los Estados Unidos en 1973. Se movió a Whittier California donde crió sus hijos como madre soltera. Alicia es sobrevivida por hijos Valentín, Armando, Gilberto, Alfonso, y hija Vanessa, 4 nueras, 1 yerno, 10 nietos, y 8 bisnietos que quería con todo su corazón. Alicia conoció su compañero y mejor amigo Pedro Correa en 1991, y los dos fueron inseparable. Alicia quería a su familia mas que nada en el mundo. Alicia le encantaba su jardín, bailar, cantar, ir de compras, y juntarse con sus amigas. Alicia era muy noble, cariñosa, siempre tenía una sonrisa, y siempre ayudaba a todos. Era Católica y valoraba sus creencias. Le encantaba sus boletos del lotto. Cada Dominga para ella era día de familia. Le encantaba tener a su familia en su casa y envitaba a todos para sopes o carne asada y un juego de lotería. Le encantaba cosinar, nunca era egoísta, y le encantaba el chisme. Era una mujer muy independiente, trabajadora, y luchadora. Alicia era una mujer muy bella de adentro y afuera y era muy querida de su familia y amigas/amigos. Todos que la conocían la van extrañar muchísimo.
Alicia Contreras Arellano was born August 6th 1951 in Nayarit Mexico, to Ramona and Alfredo Contreras. She was there oldest and first born daughter, Alicia was named after her Grandma she met her then spouse in Mexico and became Alicia Arellano. She came to America in 1973 to live the American dream. She settled in Whittier California and became a mother to 4 boys Valentin, Armando, Gilberto, Alfonso, and soon after she became a mother to her last child and only girl Vanessa. A total of 5 children a single mother who shortly after became a grandmother to 10 grandchildren, then a Great grandmother to 8 whom she loves all very much. She gained 4 Daughter in laws and One son in law. Alicia met her best friend and companion Pedro Correa in 1991 the two became useparable. Alicia loved her family more then anything in the world she always put them first, she loved gardening, she loved to dance, she loved to sing, she loved to shop, she loved her friends. She was kind and always willing to help her family out, she always had a smile on her face, she was caring to others. She valued her catholic beliefs, She was a regular lotto ticket scratcher every, Sunday she went to church, and every Sunday was family day to BBQ and hang out with Mom/grandma as we gather together to play a game called Lotería. She loved to cook her really good authentic Mexican food. She was never selfish, always polite, and loved chisme. She was a go getter, strong independent women who always worked very hard for her children and her home. Alicia is a beautiful women inside and out she is so well loved by her family and friends, she will be missed greatly. Those who truly loved Alicia will not be afraid of the after life for we will be with her one day in eternal life, like God had promised us. We will miss her dearly and We her family and friends will always keep her memory alive.
