Ruben was a devoted Christian who had a great love for the Lord and wanted to share that with others. He loved to sing at church, and anywhere else. Together with his wife Linda he collected clothing and food donations to take to Mexico where they could help people in need and share the love of Christ. If you were around Ruben you were fed food and the word of God.
Ruben had a great sense of humor and was always playing little tricks on people with his toy mouse and roach. He got a kick out of scaring people with his toys but also loved sharing his toothpick tricks, puzzles, and his origami bird with others. Ruben was always happy and he loved enjoying time with family and friends. He shared many stories of the clients he had, the trees that he trimmed year after year, he put so much love into everything he was a part of. He loved unconditionally and in turn was loved by all who knew him. He will be truly missed.
Viewing will be held from 5-9 PM on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ. Funeral service will be held the following day, Monday, January 27, 2020 beginning at 11 AM also at West Resthaven. Ruben will be laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
