Mom, I miss you so much. Sometimes it feels like you are so very far away. Other times very close. I cherish those close times.  I recall one day when I was around age 5, we had company. I needed comforting.  I climbed up on you lap and laid my head on your chest. I began feeling better sitting there close to you listening to your heartbeat.  You were the one constant thing to me. Thank you for sewing for the family. Thank you for sharing your voice in song. I can still see you playing each note on the piano for the alto part for that weeks choir song.  I celebrate your new life as it is so well deserved. I love you. 

One of the things that stands out in my memories of mom, is how unselfish she was and how well she adapted to a variety of circumstances in life.

She definitely was not what you would call a "high maintenance" woman.  She and dad saw some very good financial times, but they also shared some hard ones.  I have no memory of her making material demands on dad or of her having high expectations during the good times, nor do I remember her complaining during the hard times.  Her focus was not on things but on people, and at the top of her list was her desire to have all her children nearby.

She and dad loved both "having" company and "being" company, and I have many memories of boistrous laughter as friends and family gathered around the table--laughter that would often continue for hours at a time.

Like most of us, mom and dad had their share of problems with each other and with their children, but if there's one thing they were "not", it's quitters.  They worked at fixing the things they could and coping with the things they couldn't.  They were faithful to each other and their family and I owe them a great deal for the example they set for us in that regard.

Dad went to be with the Lord in 1989.  Mom has now joined him.  I will always remember the sparkle in their eyes as they would laugh at a good joke, at one another, and sometimes at themselves.  I look forward to seeing them again and am blessed and comforted in knowing that the next time I see them, that sparkle will be there for eternity.

I love you mom and dad.  I owe you much and look forward to seeing you again.

Mom, thank you for your love and care. Your devotion to your family was obvious and very much appreciated. You will be greatly missed. I love you and will see you again someday.

My oldest memory of Aunt Bobbi was my uncle bringing home to Minnesota, (from his Air Force duty in Bakersfield, California) his strikingly beautiful wife.
Her black hair, dark eyes, creamy white skin, and high cheekbones were in such contrast to all my blonde, blue-eyed cousins.  "At last," I thought: "Someone in the family besides me with brown eyes and hair!" 

I came to find out that she and I had similar childhoods, and that our view of life was much the same.  We just naturally felt at ease with eachother.
 
Over the years, Bobbi and Larry's was like a second home to me.  Aunt Bobbi took care of me when I came home from the hospital after having Michelle and Shaelin.  Both times. she was as comforting as a mother to me.  She and Uncle Larry saw me through several  very major emergencies, as well.  Bobbi always had time to help me, right down to small things like using her skill at pressure points to relieve my migraines, better than any pain pill. 

Every time I connect my DNA to Uncle Larry's, because I feel I may have monopolized the conversation, I think of the enormous patience Aunt Bobbi had, waiting in doorways for many hours over her lifetime, while Uncle Larry said his "goodbye's".

I loved both of them more than I can say.  They had a twinkle in their eyes that constantly revealed how much they enjoyed life, and made them a joy to be around.

My loving memories of Aunt Bobbi are quite indelible, and will never go away.

Even though Uncle Larry has been gone for many years, I can't think of one without the other.  I'm sorry for the family's loss, but so glad that they are together again. God bless you Aunt Bobby.
