Richard Silva Soza

Richard married Lydia Lopez on September 25, 1965; they have shared over 57 years of marriage.

He served with the National Guard of Arizona for six years.

Richard worked for the Glendale Elementary School District for more than 20 years retiring in 2010.

He was a loving husband, father, brother and Tata and will be missed.

Richard is survived by his wife Lydia, four sons Richard (Sandra) Soza, Manuel Soza, Raymond Soza & Gilbert (Krystal) Soza, seven siblings Henry Soza, Robert Soza, John Soza, Norma Morales, Sylvia Mendoza, Rita Fernandez & Ethel Gamez. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren Jasmine, Raeanna, Stephanie, Sarahy, Vanessa, Jose Manuel (Gordo), Richie, Stefani, Serena & Khaleesi and 11 great grandchildren Jay, twins Joey & Stevie, Armira, Aricia, Luna, Marcellino, Reina, Brianna, Camila & Sophia.

In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by two siblings Cornelia Soza, Jr. & Olga Soza.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 4-8PM with a rosary at 5PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 10AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 5614 W. Orangewood Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301. Burial will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery with a reception to follow at West Resthaven Funeral Home.
