Ray Diego Watkins

Ray Diego Watkins, 53, of Glendale, AZ passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020. Ray was born in Rocky Ford, CO on March 19, 1966 to Ronald and Diana Watkins. He was raised in Kansas with his sisters, Stephanie, Sarah, Karen, and Jackie. Ray moved to Phoenix through a job transfer and has lived here for the last 24 years. Ray found love in his partner, Dave Campbell. Ray and Dave shared love and devotion over the last 20 years. They especially enjoyed going to a wide variety of different concerts, ranging from Cher to Black Sabbath, and everything in between. Ray was active and enjoyed staying fit, mountain bike riding, and playing on a dart league with Dave and his best friend, Mitchell. Ray was a big football fan and rooted for the Denver Broncos during all their games. As a Phoenician, he also supported the Arizona Cardinals.

Ray will truly be missed by all of those who had the pleasure of knowing him throughout his life. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving husband, Dave; his mother, Diana; his sisters Stephanie, Sarah, Karen, and Jackie; his extended family, including his nieces and nephews; as well as countless friends he made during his 53 years. A Celebration of Life will be held at The Astrology Store, 5735 W Glendale Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301 on Sunday, February 2nd from 12-4pm. Memories and words of comfort will begin at 2:30 pm with a special toast to be made in Ray's honor at 3 pm.
