Marilyn Ann Goad

Marilyn was born August 29, 1929 to John O’Neil and Mildred Crawford O’Neil Snook in Fort Wayne, IN. Marilyn grew up in Fort Wayne, where she attended Southside High School and where she met and married Hugo (Hugh) Goad. They were married 72 yrs. The family of twin daughters and two sons moved to Phoenix, AZ in 1964. They were foster parents and in 1971 they adopted their foster daughter. Marilyn loved jigsaw puzzles, chocolate, camping and the mountains. She loved all music and especially gospel and was a self-proclaimed groupie of Ryan Seaton and Signature Sound. Most of all she loved her family. She was a loyal friend to all she met. She bragged that she kept every birthday card she ever received all her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John & Mildred O’Neil (Snook), sister Marjory Barley, MI, husband Hugh Goad Jan ‘21 and youngest son Tim (Bear) Goad Jul ‘21. She leaves behind a sister Jackie Lewis, Phoenix, AZ, daughters Cynthia Payne (Jack), Litchfield Park, AZ Sandra Shearer Phoenix, AZ, Lisa Brammer (Albert) Parker, PA; Son James Goad (Rania) Kingman, AZ, Daughter-in-law Micki Goad Chandler, AZ. She loved her precious grandchildren Kimberly Bowen, Pflugerville, TX (Danny), Daniel Goad Hess, CA (Carol), Jeffrey Payne, Phx, AZ (Leah), Steven Payne, Phx, AZ, Krystin Goad, Twin Falls, ID, Kandice Goad (Jesus), Chandler, AZ, Justin Goad Chandler, AZ (Elena), Kasey Goad, Chandler, AZ, Patrick Russell Parker, PA, Andrew Brammer, Parker, PA. Precious Great-Grandchildren Caleb Bowen, Axel Payne, Lilah Payne, Nina Armenta Gomez, Frank Armenta, Aundraya Goad, Nicholas Earl, Kendra Earl, Jocelyn Vergara, Andrew Hess, Ayden Hess, Avery Hess, Austin Hess, Kristina Fagan (Colton).
