Linda was born in Thorntown, Indiana on March 5, 1943 to Clarence and Dorothy Strong.
The family moved from Indiana to Arizona where she met her husband and best friend, Terry, at a church social in 1959. They married on April 16, 1960 and welcomed 3 daughters, Connie, Penny and Pamela.
Linda was a devoted homemaker and made keeping a spotless and beautiful home a priority while still encouraging her daughters to play, cook and bake in the kitchen despite the mess. Linda enjoyed dancing to country music with Terry on date nights and was also a skilled and enthusiastic bowler in several leagues. Linda also had employment outside of the home periodically and especially enjoyed her time at the JC Penney snack bar. Linda and her family were avid lovers of the mountains and enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends.
Linda is preceded in death by her loving husband Terry D. Eichorn, her parents, Clarence Strong and Dorothy Unangst, brother Willard Strong and sister Loretta Pierce.
She is survived by her daughters Connie Sue Vanderwood (David), Penny Lee Sanchez (Raymond) and Pamela Kay Medina (Andrew), all of Phoenix, Arizona, sister Sue Johnson (Richard) of Phoenix, AZ and her youngest sister Sheila Doud of Goodyear, AZ. Linda had eight grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life is being held at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary located at 7924 N. 59th Avenue, just south of Northern Avenue, Monday November 25, 2019 from 11:00 am to noon, viewing for friends will be available from 10:00 am to 11:00 am. A committal ceremony will be conducted at Phoenix Memorial Park, located at 200 W. Beardsley Road in Phoenix starting at 1:00 pm.
