A vigil was held by her family, during her transition, by her loving husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Lillian is survived by her beloved husband of 77 years, Porfirio E. Sandoval, three children, seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
Lillian was born in Clarkdale, Arizona on December 5, 1921, and grew up in Cottonwood, Arizona. She loved sports as she grew and always had a great sense of humor and infectious laugh. She loved to dance and to sing. In her later years, she enjoyed several soap operas.
As a wife, she was dedicated to her husband, and they were inseparable to the end. As a mother, she was kind and loving. She was an excellent cook and passed on recipes that always seemed to include “a s*** ton of salt.” She was a talented seamstress who often sewed outfits for all of the children.
Lillian, beloved wife, mother and grandmother will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We know that she is now in heaven and seeing the face of God.
Lillian’s Celebration of Life will be held at Chapel of the Chimes located at 7924 North 59th Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301 at 11am, Friday, June 23, 2023. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lillian’s honor to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital. https://www.stjude.org/donate/
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.ChapeloftheChimesMortuary.com for the Sandoval family.
