Leo C. Klaus Jr.

Leo C. Klaus, Jr. passed away peacefully, in his sleep in the early morning hours of his 103rd birthday, October 9, 2024. He was born on October 9, 1921 in Prescott, Arizona to the late Leo and Florence Klaus.

Leo Jr.’s goal was to outlive his dad, who lived to be 102, and he did just that. His son Jay took care of him for the last 14 years making his journey to 103 possible.

A WWII veteran he served with the Army Air Force. On December 23, 1945, shortly after returning home he married Agnes Tschannen. In their almost 66 years of marriage, he was a devoted husband and father as they raised their five children. Agnes preceded Leo in death on October 14, 2011.

Leo is survived by 4 children Steve Klaus, Debbie (Rick) Fagnani, Jay Klaus & Scott (Sheri) Klaus, 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, sister-in-law Dot Klaus and nieces & nephews as well as extended family.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by son Bobby Klaus and 2 brothers JC Klaus & James Klaus.

Family and friends are invited to a service celebrating his life on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 11:30AM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. Military honors will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, as he is entombed with Agnes & Bobby.
