Glenn Richard Hanks was called home to Heaven on March 29, 2023. He was born in Phoenix, Arizona to Brino and Annie Hanks on December 23, 1929. He spent his whole life in the Phoenix area, except for the three years he served in U. S. Army, 1949-1952 during the Korean War.
He was the youngest of eight children. Most of his siblings passed away at young ages except Glenn and his brother Fred, who lived to be 87 years old. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Hanks, his parents, and all of his siblings, his daughters, Linda Greene, and Lori Uniatowski, and his granddaughter Sarah Uniatowski.
His memory will carry on with his surviving loved ones, granddaughter Katie Hamann and her husband Joe, sons-in-law Jim Greene and Ray Uniatowski, and sister-in-law Judy Berner, several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
The family would like to thank the staff of Orchard Pointe at Surprise and Hospice of the Valley for their support and loving care of Glenn.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 15th at 10:00 A.M. at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301. Followed by a Committal Service with military honors at Greenwood-Memory Lawn Cemetery at 719 N. 27th Ave. Phoenix, AZ 85009
