George “Alan” Leicht Sr. (78) of Surprise, Arizona passed away on October 19, 2018. Alan was born in St. Louis, Missouri on January 1, 1940 to Leo and Verneva (Smith) Leicht. Alan was the CEO (President, owner, operator) of his own company and referred to himself as The “TUCHUPR”, who’s legacy will live on through his son, Alan Jr. Alan loved to play scrabble and maintained a huge folder of words. He has been referred to as the “Scrabble King” and was nick named “Wordo”. But, his passion was dancing; two step, waltz, whatever it was, he loved to be on the dance floor because he was so “LEICHT” on his feet; he even taught dance classes. Alan will be missed for his wit and humor. Alan leaves behind his son Alan Jr. and wife Amy; his (step-family) daughters Cheryl, Angela, and Crystal; grandchildren Michael, Britney, Marissa, Brandon, Alexis, Austin, Max, Henry, and granddaughter Trishelle and great granddaughters Emma and Alexis”. Alan is preceded by his wife Loretta; his mother and father; his brother Don; son David, step daughter Brenda; grandson George (Zack) Alan Leicht III. He is receded in death (by one day) his sister Pat Hassler.
Please join the family for a visitation on Sunday, November 11, 2018 at 3:00 pm followed by a service at 4:00 pm, at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary “West” Chapel located at 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, Arizona.
