Delbert Lee Evans Sr.

Delbert Evans Sr., age 78, of Sun City, Arizona passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024. He was born on August 3, 1945, to Carl and Jessie Evans in Ovid, Colorado. He attended school in Chappell, Nebraska, and graduated from Bushnell High School in 1965. On April 24, 1971, he married the love of his life, Joyce Cox in Kimball, Nebraska. Together, they resided in Fort Morgan for more than 30 years before moving to Arizona in 2018. They were active members of Calvary Baptist Church in Fort Morgan, Colorado as well as Summit Baptist Church in Wiggins, Colorado.

Delbert is survived by 2 sons, Delbert Jr (Chris), and Robert (Diana); 1 brother, Dwight, as well as 4 grandchildren; Nate (Shelbey), Caitlin, Hunter (Autumn), Emily, and 2 great grandchildren, Maddox and Mason, as well as numerous other loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce, as well as his parents, Carl and Jessie, sister Quella and brothers Kenneth and Wyatt.

Funeral services will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale on Friday, June 14, 2024 beginning at 9AM. He will be laid to rest with Joyce in Resthaven Park Cemetery.
