I remember that Alyssa took me to the Rio Vista park. We went to feed the ducks so we brought some bread. She gave me a full piece and all the ducks attacked me following a goose.  Instead of rescuing me she laughed at me, as I was being pecked by these psychotic ducks. It was worth it though, I will forever miss her. 

I had the opportunity to work clinicals with Alyssa.  Most young nurses are fearful.  I was impressed with her ability to assimilate all the information we are bombarded with and her patient application.  True professional.  Rest in peace.

I met Alyssa as she was entering nursing school and helped plan her tradjectory.  She was very ambitious when we spoke creating a roadmap for her path.  Many via excitement have grand plans in the beginning that wane.  

As the years went by each time our paths crossed she had attained another level of education.  First BSN, then MSN and a fully licensed NP entering private practice last we chatted.  I commend what it takes to be a mom of two, working and seeking higher education.  

My condolences to her unique family for a bright star who burned out too quickly.  Her contributions and fortitude will continue to inspire.  It reminds us to live life to the fullest everyday and may you now rest in peace.

I had not seen Alyssa in many years until this past year when she came to round with a doctor on one of the covid patients I was caring for in the hospital.  It was a tough day. She reached out to me later that day on social media to encourage me and congratulated me on becoming a nurse. She was thoughtful, caring and genuine and I have looked up to her since I was a kid. My heart is with her family and friends. ♥️

I wish I got a chance to meet her or even to get a  chance to talk to her,I bet she was a special person to everyone that came in contact with her.I am so sorry for your loss,I am going to Arizona in April,And I am going to meet y'all and find out what kinda person she grew up too be.

I am so very sorry to hear of Alyssa's passing.  Alyssa and my son Andrew gave me two beautiful granddaughters, Emma and Amelia.  My heart aches for them losing their mother.  My deepest condolences to the entire extended family.  God bless you all and give you comfort in this time of grief.

You will forever and always be the sister I never had. It’s been years since I saw you last but you meant so much to me, it hurts knowing I will never see you again in this lifetime. You were so accomplished and had so much going for yourself, I can’t imagine what you possibly could’ve been going through that you felt you couldn’t talk about it with someone. We were best friends at NCS! We were one day apart, same name and we ended up having our babies one day apart too❤️ I have soo many memories with you Lyss, We used to babysit together, get into all kinds of trouble and you were ALWAYS there to make me laugh and give me advice😭 I love you soo much baby girl!
