Ross was born in Marshall, Missouri to Richard Cleveland Gibbons and Arlene Carol (Hibbard) Gibbons on January 7, 1975, and resided in Slater, Missouri throughout his younger years prior to moving to Lee’s Summit, Missouri, where he spent most of his teenage and adult life.
He graduated from Lee’s Summit High School in 1993, and then attended Baker University prior to finalizing his bachelor’s degree at the University of Missouri Kansas City.
Ross worked in the food service industry for several years prior to hiring into the medical equipment industry and later into the dental equipment industry.
His love for adventure and the great outdoors was always a priority. He was an avid snowboarder, golfer, hunter, and fisherman. He also had a real passion for just soaking in nature with his cousins and close friends riding in their Rzr’s and side-by-side ATVs.
Ross is preceded in death by his mother Arlene Hatton and is survived by his brother Rich, his father Rick, four aunts; Theresa Ellsworth and Brenda Yarbrough, Rosemary Gibbons and Suzanne Abbott, in addition to their respective children.
The family has asked that if anyone feels the need to donate to a cause, please consider, researching your area school lunch programs and/or backpack programs which help ensure children are fed and get proper nourishment. Ross recently showed an interest in these gestures and had taken steps to become involved.
The family wishes to thank all his family and friends in the outpouring of support and condolences.
Service arrangements are now finalized and will be live streamed at 10:00am on Friday, January 14, 2022.
