Norma Joyce McCall, 80, of Kansas City, passed away August 2, 2014, at NorthCare Hospice House. Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at White Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 5, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America and can be made at www.myasthenia.org.
Norma was born on July 9, 1934, at Barnard, MO, the daughter of William Lloyd and Alma Fern (Campbell) Stephens. Norma was a member of Wilcox United Methodist Church for numerous years. She graduated from Maple Woods Community College with an associate's degree. After college she attended TWA Travel Institute to become a travel agent. She had worked at Executive Travel as a travel agent for many years. Norma loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed reading, traveling, history and knitting.
Survivors include her mother, Alma; one son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Kathy McCall; three grandchildren, Andrew, Elise and Teresa McCall; sons by marriage, Lon McCall (Diane) and their son Matthew; Dennis McCall (Patricia) and their son and daughter Christopher and Deborah; four siblings, Shirley Hamilton, Carol Davis, Ronald Stephens and Kathryn Cochran; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph McCall and her father, Lloyd.
