Michael Clark Milam

He graduated from Memphis State University in 1976 with a degree in Business Administration. Mike married Mary Milam December 17, 1981. Mike lived in many different locations during his successful career in the LTL transportation industry, he worked for Garrison Motor Freight and Time DC then went on to own his own business as a contractor for American Freightways Inc. Mike retired from the City of Kansas City. Mike enjoyed bowling, camping with his family and playing lots of golf.

He is preceded in death by both parents and his daughter Celeste Johnson of Kansas City, MO.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife Mary, his sons, Michael and Robert Milam, daughters, Charese Quigley and her husband Michael of Smithville, MO and Denise Smith of Independence, MO, his brother, Tim Milam and Tim’s wife Ana of Conyers, GA. Sister-in-law, Janelle Allen-Schmidt and her husband James Schmidt. Grandchildren; Augustine Batres III, Michelle Huke and her husband Joseph, Angela Brown and her husband John and Joseph Quigley. Michael’s Great-Grandchildren; Augustine and Anakin Batres, Ava and Maci Brown, Natalie and Madison Huke, and Arya Quigley.

A Memorial is scheduled for Oct 7, 2023, 11:00AM at Newcomer’s White Chapel Funeral Home. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Michael’s life.
