Maxine was known for her gentle demeanor, loving heart, and being a wonderful and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a very hard worker and when her kids were younger she held three jobs to support her family. It was at one of these jobs, a local grocery store, that Maxine met the love of her life, Lyndell. Together they spent 48 wonderful and adventurous years together. Once married, Maxine was able to carry out her dream of becoming a seamstress. She owned and operated a drapery business from the basement of her home. She was very skilled and well-liked by her customers. In her free time Maxine and Lyndell could be found travelling the US in their RV visiting family, friends and many of the National Parks. Maxine was also a lover of animals, especially dogs.
Maxine was the light of her family’s hearts and will be greatly missed. A memorial service is planned for June 17, 2019 at White Chapel Funeral Home located at 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. Visitation will begin at 10 am with services beginning at 11 am.
