Lu was a wonderful woman who touched the lives of many. She was a strong, influential woman who made a large impact on many people, particularly her grandchildren whom she played a huge part in their upbringing. In her professional life, Lu was a home health nurse for many years. She was an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. She loved to play a game of cards with friends, a good cup of coffee and hours of shopping. Her favorite person to shop with was her best friend, her daughter Pam. Lu passed away just ten days after her daughter from a broken heart.
Lu is survived by her son Barry “Joe” (Cindy) Cahill, her grandchildren Jennifer (Anthony) Neighbors, Blake Loeb, Tara Loeb, and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lenore and James, husband Gary Grabau, son Tim Cahill, daughter Pam Rogers, and stepdaughter Jodi Kaskie.
A celebration of life for both Lu and Pam will be held Saturday, November 5th. The visitation will be from 1:00-3:00pm and the service will be from 3:00-4:00pm at Newcomer's White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lu’s life.
