My Dear Cousin Lilian, 

I’m still in shock and in disbelief that you are no longer with us. I will never forget how you opened up your arms and surround me with love when I was planning my wedding. Since my mom had passed away the year before, you stepped in without hesitation and assumed the mom role.  You and Jimmy helped me with the engagement party,  you made my engagement party & bridal shower outfits,  you embellished my shoes, altered my wedding dress and made my headpiece and veil. If that wasn’t enough you hosted a baby shower for my firstborn. I will never, ever, ever  forget what you did for me and the love you made me feel. I’m going to miss your beautiful heart, smile, laugh and wonderful sense of humor. Rest In Peace my dear cousin  and may God Bless your beautiful soul.

I have heard over the years about the tension in a relationship between a man and his mother in law. Well, I must just be a truly lucky guy because my Mother in Law was a great woman who was the center of the family that everyone gravitated to.

 A great Wife, Mom, sister, friend, an incredible cook, a truly talented seamstress, a woman who brought her family up to always put God and family first and that is how she lived her life right to the final days. 

I will miss her more than words can explain but I am happy that she in in Heaven looking down upon the many that loved her and knowing she will be saving me a spot at the table when we see each other again. 

Thank you Lillian for making my life a better place for the last thirty years and I promise we will handle things here.

I didn't know Lillian but I do know her son Sal thru work - and from my interactions with Sal he has compassion and a good sense of right and wrong and is a hard worker.  I am sure some of this is because of how he was raised and I'm sure Lillian is proud of the man Sal became.   I am sorry for the family's loss - you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I cannot express how broken my heart is!  I could write a novel about our life together growing up in Sicily, immigrating to America 56 years ago!  
You were the glue that held everything together for our family and continued Mom’s dedication to Saint Joseph which she started in Italy!  You will not ever be forgotten!  Love you always and forever!

Known as the Rock and Glue in the family.
The Rock whom was a very strong person that dealt with so much and the Glue that kept everything and everyone together. She kept peace, love, laughter and kindness  among everyone. She was the beacon of light that shined among us.  We will always cherish her memories.  The tradition every year of family and friends coming together for St. Joseph Table, New Year's Eve, Family Reunions and many more. We will keep it going every year in honor of you, Lillian and also those that had left us. Lillian, you were inspirational person.  May the Lord keep you in his arms, RIP and know that you were a great cousin, mom, aunt, grandmother and great grandmother. I am devastated to lose you. You devoted yourself to your passions for sewing, cooking, family traditions, and faith. You shared your talents with us, you taught me how to sew clothes for my barbies, how to make festive Italian dishes, and how to celebrate God and his Patron Saints. Your tremendous legacy will live on through your family and friends. I will cherish my memories of you, very deeply, for the rest of time. Heaven truly gained an angel, I can just picture you smiling and dancing with God.
