Larry Dean McDonald was born on May 15, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carl W McDonald and Margie L McQuarters. Larry married Trish in 1984, after moving to Randolph Road in October 1987 the couple welcomed one child Margie Lynn McDonald/ Bartlett into the world. His daughter remembers him as a loving, involved father who taught her lots of life lessons. His grandchildren remember him most for being a phenomenal Paw Paw who had a fun free spirit and never said No. His nieces and nephews remember him for always being there and being a great role model. Larry was an accomplished plumber, he was a generous and witty loving person who loved helping others and who was very passionate about his friends and family. He often volunteered at the food pantry that later lead to his ideal job as a maintenance plumber at William Jewell College where he impacted and influenced so many other lives.
He is proceeded in death by his father, Carl McDonald, his mother Margie McQuarters, brother Jerry Grayson, sisters Lou Pope, Rennie Payne, Seal Fannin. Larry is survived by his wife Trish McDonald, daughter Margie Bartlett, son in law Daniel Bartlett, two grandchildren Kimber and Troy Bartlett, two sisters Carleen Hall and Sharon Battagler.
We will be having a celebration of life on Saturday, August 25th from 3 to 7 PM at AMF Bowl/ Waterford Banquet Hall. Address 503 E 18th Ave North Kansas City, MO 64116. There is no outside food, drink, alcohol permitted. There will be a lite menu with refreshments provided. All family and friends are invited to attend this celebration of life for Larry McDonald.
