Jessica Bertha Tangen

She was born February 11, 1980, in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of John Tangen and Leanna (Leslie) Schones. She graduated from North Kansas City High School with the Class of 1998.

She began working for Rent a Center as a Delivery Specialist in 2008. She was promoted as a Store Manager where she managed the Gladstone, Missouri location until her passing.

Jessica was a devoted mother to one Daughter, Kyla, who will always remember her as a very loving mother that would do anything so she could pursue her passions and dreams. Jessica was a people person. Using her outgoing personality and persuasive nature she could often get into places or meet people that most people could not. She was a generous and dedicated individual. She loved history, animals and old, Victorian houses.

Jessica is survived by her parents, John Tangen and Lee Schones; daughter, Kyla; brother, Dan and his wife Heidi, several nieces and nephews; as well as numerous other family and friends. There is a fund set up for Kyla to help with expenses and to help take care of her in the future; everything helps.

The family would like to thank the hospital and staff at Mosaic Health St Joseph, the Kansas City Chiefs organization, Kingdom Cares, and the Countless number of people who have showed their support during this difficult time.

A visitation for Jessica will be held Monday, August 7, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at White Chapel Funeral Home, 6600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, Missouri, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
