Harry was born May 30, 1942, in Hardtner, Kansas to Eugene and Ethel May (Wright) Martin.
Harry graduated from Enid High School in 1959 and then attended Eastern Oklahoma State College where he learned his trade in welding. He was extremely proud to have served his state as a member of the Oklahoma National Guard.
Harry was employed by Sirloin Stockade Steakhouse in Oklahoma, Nebraska, and Kansas, where he worked his way through the management system to retire as a District Manager in 1989. Harry would go on to work for Orkin and O’Reilly Auto Parts for the remainder of his working career finally retiring in 2015.
Harry was a proud prostate and lymphoma cancer survivor.
He was very talented with the lathe machine where he would craft some beautiful wood pens that he would gift to family and friends.
He was an avid sports fan for the KC Royals, KC Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes, OSU Cowboys, and NASCAR.
His family recalls his humor and his random phone calls to simply tell a joke or story. He had an infectious laugh, always smiling, was always right or argued until he was right. Harry had to be the life of the party or the center of attention. He was a jokester at heart, but when it comes to a heart, his was huge for his family. His family was everything to him. They were the most important thing in his life.
Harry was preceded in death by parents; his brothers and sister-in-laws, Charles (Kay) Martin, Darrel “Duane” (Virginia) Martin, and Kenneth (Nora) Martin; sister-in-law, Liz Martin; brother-in-law, Gary Morgaridge; grandchildren, Amanda Martin and Boyd Marker.
Survivors include his children, Brian (Karrie) Martin, DeAnna Marker (Tom), and Tonya (Jesus “JJ”) Leco; and Tiffany Martin; brother, Tom Martin; sisters, Beth Tappan, Karen (Earl) Smith, and Pam Morgaridge; grandchildren, Kimberly (Dallas) Roemmich, Zachary Martin (Jamie), Ashley (Adam) Whisler, Dustin (Blair) Johnson, Courtney Martin (Calen), Natalie (Michael) Ramaekers, Erin Marker, Emma Marker, Alexis Leco, Michael Leco, John Leco, Damon Leco, Payton Hoyer, and Colby Martin; great grandchildren, Dreyden, Shaelynn, Adalyn, Kylie, Carson, Easten, Isaac, Lylah, Noah, Sam, Leo, Milo, Baylor, Mack, Ruby, Bryson, and Charlotte “Charley” and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends who will all miss him.
