He was born December 30th, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana, the son of Marcie Tracy and Don Richwine Sr. Don graduated from West Milford High School in West Milford, New Jersey. He then went on to Lincoln Technical School in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he graduated as a Diesel Mechanic and moved back to Kansas City after graduation.
Don found great success in his long and dedicated career at Wagner. He started September of 1990 in the Maintenance department. Then in June of 2013 he was promoted to Mechanic. July of 2018 he was promoted to Manager of equipment and shortly after in August of 2018 he was promoted to Maintenance supervisor.
Finally in October of 2021 he was promoted to Maintenance Manager where he carried out the rest of his career with Wagner. He made many memories and lasting impressions with bosses and co-workers alike, and his hard work set the bar high for everyone around him.
Don was a fixer at heart, he was always coming up with new projects around the house, as well as helping the family with their projects. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, coaching his sons in sports as children, dining in and trying new Mexican restaurants and taking naps in the middle of Nascar races.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marcie Tracy and his stepfather Jerry Tracy.
Don is known by many nicknames throughout his family and friends, you might know him as "Nod", "Donnie", "Bubba" and "Grandude" to name a few and today he is remembered as all of them. Don is survived by his father, Don Richwine Sr., his step mother Sue Richwine; his two sons, Kyle and Dylan Richwine and their mother Lisa Richwine; his significant other, Melanie Williams as well as her 3 daughters, Bailey, Brantley and Bethany (Justin) Brown and family. Don is also survived by his sisters, Jean Ann (Lynn) Hart, Jackie Richwine and stepsister Kim Ison. Don is an Uncle to many, including his Nephew Jake (Alex) Hart and family, Niece Annie (Steve) Cheney and family, Drew (Bre) Ison and family as well as Blake and Chase Ison.
