Barbara was born on June 26, 1942 at home in Clay County, Missouri to Lloyd and Betty (Pritchard) Johnson. She attended North Kansas City High School. Barbara married David Warren in June of 1994. The couple blended their families and had a total of five children. Her children remember her as an ornery, fun-loving, kind and generous mother. Barbara was a wonderful cook, always feeding people and animals. Her and David enjoyed donating to the casinos, playing bingo, watching the Chiefs, Yellowstone, Survivor and Big Brother (as you can tell, she always had the remote). She was a great seamstress, making the kids' barbie clothes and Halloween costumes. Barbara was a member of the Eastern Star. Barbara could often be found reading a good book or in the garden tending to her and David's tomato plants. She was a witty woman who loved to pull funny pranks on her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Betty Johnson and step-son Marty Warren.
Barbara is survived by her beloved husband David Warren, daughter Sharolyn (Chris) VanHorn, daughter Carolyn Bailey, son John "Tater" (Kelly) Blankenship, step-daughter Teresa (Marion "Outlaw") Cox, sister Lelia Porter, sister Linda Parsons, brother Kenneth "Butch" (Lynette) Johnson, sister Jeanie (Craig) Powers, twelve grandkids and twelve great grandkids.
A Visitation for Barbara will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. A Loving Remembrance will begin at 1:00 PM, with a Committal service to follow, all at White Chapel Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6600 NE Antioch Road, Gladstone, Missouri 64119.
