It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the passing of a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend Karen Ann Pyke, on Thursday February 11,2021 at the Cape Breton Regional hospital with loving family at her side.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Max and Elsie (Chipman) Barrett.
Mom was employed as a Teacher and taught at Brookside School for over 33 years.
She is survived by sons Jamie (Rachel) Qatar and Jeff (Ashleigh) Glace Bay; grandchildren Emma, Sophia, Ryan and Payton; brother Rick Barrett.
Besides her parents she is predeceased by husband Jim Pyke.
In following mom’s wishes cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Patten Funeral Home, there will be no visitation and service.
