With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our cherished mother, Diane Morrison, on Oct 29, 2024. She was a vibrant soul who loved to laugh, cared deeply for others, and left a mark of kindness on everyone she met. Her legacy of compassion, joy, and unconditional love will forever be cherished by family, friends, and the countless people whose lives she touched.
Born on Dec 26, 1944, Diane was a guiding light—filling our lives with her warmth, humor, and unwavering love. She had a unique gift for lifting spirits through her infectious laugh, telling funny stories, and simple acts of kindness. She also loved playing bingo, having fun with friends and enjoying good meal.
Diane opened her heart and door to friends and neighbors in need, always eager to lend a hand, share a meal, or simply be there for anyone who needed her.
She was our friend, our confidante, and our biggest cheerleader—an irreplaceable presence in all our lives.
Diane was predeceased by her parents Van Norman Talbot and Gladys Talbot, Also her Sister Ethel.
She is survived by her children, Robbie Morrison, Cindy Mamye (Jimmy), Jimmy Morrison (Shirley) and Barry Morrison, as well as Bobby Morrison, Devon Burke, and 8 other Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, also her brothers Walter Royal (Irene), Doug Royal (Bernadette), Clarence Royal (Nelda), Danny Royal (Susie) and sister Donna MacCarthy (Danny).
Her light, though gone from this world, remains in the laughter, love, and kindness she inspired in us all.
Arrangements are under the care of Patten Funeral Home, Union St, Glace Bay from where visitation will be held on Friday, November 1, from 11am to 1pm, with a Funeral and Reception to follow at The Salvation Army, Union St, Friday at 2pm.
