Jimmie was born to Mary (Wilson) Snow and Winfield Snow 14 October 1954.
As an only grandson, he was welcomed joyously by his paternal Grandfather, Bill Snow.
Jim attended Central School, Morrison Junior High, and Morrison Glace Bay High School. He furthered his education at Mount Saint Vincent University & NSIT Halifax.
Jimmie was deeply connected to his Cape Breton roots, and after his retirement, returned “home”.
Predeceased by his mother and father, Jimmie leaves behind his son, Jamis (Brianna), grandsons Ryder, Hunter, and Maverick, whom he loved dearly. Also missing him deeply are his sisters, Linda Snow-Fitzgerald and Karen Buchanan, nieces Laura Buchanan, Lindsay Buchanan, and Aunt Kay Wilson, as well as several cousins.
Jimmie also leaves his cherished and dear friends, of whom there are far too many to name. You know who you are.
A gathering of Jim’s family & friends, to honour and celebrate his life and legacy, is planned for 14 September 2024 at Patten Funeral Home,71 Union Street, Glace Bay, NS, 5:30pm-7:30pm.
