Port Morien/ Mira Gut
It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my beloved wife Dawn Power, on November 20, 2023 at the Halifax Infirmary.
Born in Port Morien she was the daughter of the late Chester and Dolena MacIntosh.
In following her husband Russell’s Military Service, they traveled the world allowing her to have many job positions, mainly in bookkeeping. She started this career at Bay Motors in Glace Bay. She was a member of St. John’s United Church in Port Morien, a very advit curler and a member of both Sydney Curling club and Schooner Curling club. Dawn was also a True Toronto Maple Leafs Fan.
Surviving is loving husband of 60 years Russell Power, brother Leroy (Eleanor) MacIntosh and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents Dawn was predeceased by sisters Mabel, Georgia, Mary, Caresse and Paulette and brother Sonny.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 25, 2023 from 11am-12pm with service in Patten Funeral Home Chapel at 12pm with Rev. Bob Biggar officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Family welcomes any flowers and donations in Dawn’s memory can be made to a charity of one’s choice.
