Sandra Darlene Razer Dixon was born June 25, 1949 in Houston, TX to Edwin Razer and Mary Plummer (Razer) Till. She departed from her home in Jarrell, TX, for her heavenly home at 6:58 pm on June 22, 2022.
Sandra loved God, her family, her church family and her dogs, Pepper & Lilly who were treated like children. She spent almost 52 years married to Kenneth Dixon. Together they raised a family, ran a business and, later in years, pastored a church. She had a passion for ministering to children and worked for many years reaching out to those in the community and arranged “Street Rage” services for children who didn’t necessarily get to come to church. She made sure the ones who could come to church were picked up and taken to Sunday School. She found great joy in teaching the youth Sunday School class each week. She was a founding member of Pentecostal Lighthouse Church in Jarrell, TX. One of the ways she showed others how special they were was with her beautiful, personalized cards. For her family, and many others, it was a birthday card each year. If you were a visitor to the church, you also received a card from her. One of her greatest desires was to make sure others knew about Jesus.
Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Till and Edwin Razer; brothers, Joe Ed and Frank Razer; son-in-law, Dan Fliehs; grandson, Joe Gray; and great-grandson, Milo Joseph Lanouette. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Dixon; brother, Carl Till and wife Lynn; sister, Beverly Leggio and husband Steve; sons, Mike Dixon and wife Telina, Eugene Dixon and Curtis Dixon; daughters, Sherri Maxey and husband Erik, Tammy Fliehs, Mary Dixon and Debbie Hardwick; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and many others to whom she was like a mother or grandmother.
A visitation for Sandra will be held Thursday, June 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628. A funeral will occur Friday, July 1, 2022 at 10:00 AM at Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 346 Park Meadow Drive, Jarrell, TX 76537. A graveside service will follow at Dixon Family Cemetery, 980 CR 224, Florence, TX 76527.
