Sammy Joe McBride

Sam worked in the automotive industry for many years and was most recently employed by BMW of Austin where he had worked for over 21 years. His greatest joy was spending time with his 6 grandchildren and family. He always bragged about never having to change a diaper for his kids or grandkids. Sam also enjoyed camping, fishing and working on various projects inside and outside of the house. It was always a race between himself and his wife, Susan, to see who was going to get to use the zero turn mower or tractor.

Sam is survived by his loving wife Susan, his son Ricky, daughters Chrystal, Courtney and Leslie and son-in-laws Brian and Johnny. Also included are his grandchildren Cheyanne, Savannah, Cammy, Maceylynn, Drew and Quinn, his brother Steve, numerous nieces and nephews and his very close and dear friends. Not to be forgotten is his little buddy, Toby.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mac and Connie Simpson and his sisters, Judy and Pam.

At Sammy’s request, please dress casual. No suits or ties allowed.

A memorial service for Sammy will be held Monday, October 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628.
