Bob was born in Harvey, Illinois on April 2, 1940. He was the only child of Elgin and Virginia Anderson. Bob joined the Navy in 1957 and was stationed in San Diego, CA. Bob spent most of his life in the San Francisco Bay Area where he raised his family. He loved taking his family to Oakland Athletics baseball games. Bob had a successful career in sales prior to retirement. He loved jazz music, golf, reading, and cooking.
Bob lived life to the fullest and took on new hobbies such as the tango, ballroom dancing and poker late in life. Bob was a man of faith and was proud to have been baptized on Christmas Eve 2017 at First Baptist Georgetown.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Cheryl Anderson. Bob is survived by his daughter, Heather Bendes, her children, Natalie and Olivia, her partner, Luis Guerrero, and his daughter, Lola; his son John Anderson (Jack), his wife, Felicia Anderson, and his children, Earl and Holden; and many, many friends.
A memorial service was held on Monday, October 28th at First Baptist Church - Georgetown.
