Ova Arlene Moses Baker, 97, of Georgetown, formerly of Lake Jackson, Texas and Burnet, Texas, went to be with our Lord on June 7, 2022. Arlene was born on August 26, 1924 in San Augustine, Texas to William Dee Moses and Leva Frances (Brister) Moses.
Mrs. Baker was a member of Crestview Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years and volunteered at Camp Crestview during the summers. She enjoyed all outdoor activities; golf and travelling were her favorites. Number 1 on her bucket list was to visit all 7 continents, which she did, completing the quest to Antarctica in 2020 at the age of 95! Arlene also enjoyed bowling, playing dominoes (42, in particular) and was quite an accomplished artist. Arlene volunteered with PALS (Patience and Loving Support) for over 10 years. She also worked for Chick-fil-a (Wolf Ranch) for 10 years.
She cherished her granddaughters and great-granddaughters and loved her family dearly.
Arlene is predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Lloyd Leon Baker, Sr., sister, Joyce Brannan, and brother, Dee W. Moses.
She is survived by her son, Lloyd Baker, Jr. and wife Sherry of Georgetown, TX; brothers: James Moses and wife Judy of Katy, TX; and David Moses and wife Bonnie of Las Vegas, NV.
