She was born on November 11, 1930 in Port Lavaca, Texas to Matthew Pleasant Davis and Verna (Theus) Davis Willmon. She graduated from Patti Welder High School in Victoria, Texas. Florine married Kenneth Ray Myers on August 12, 1978. She worked for AT&T as a Draftsman. She had a strong faith, and was a member of the First Assembly of God in Victoria, Texas and River of Life Assembly of God in Georgetown.
Florine is preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Alton W. Davis, Marie Gibbons, Marvin Davis and Doyle Davis. Those left behind to cherish her memory include her husband of 42 years, Kenneth R. Myers; her children, John Clark Boyd, Pam Pousson, Sandra Reneau, and Yvonne Wampler; grandchildren, Kenneth Pousson, Christopher Pousson, Ryan Reneau, Shawn Reneau, Ben Smith, Courtney Foxworth, Makenzie Smith, and Christopher Boyd; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Earl Davis (Frisco, Texas), Carl “Mickey” Davis and wife Dorothy Davis of Hughes Springs, Texas, and Helen Meyer of Victoria, Texas.
A memorial service celebrating Florine’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the River of Life Assembly of God, 6040 Airport Road, Georgetown. The service will be live streamed on the River of Life Facebook page for those who are unable to attend.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to River of Life Assembly of God.
