Emile J. Mailloux passed away peacefully on Monday, September 12, 2022, after a long and hard-fought battle with Parkinson’s disease. Emile was born July 29, 1940, to Evelyn and Emil Mailloux in Leominster, Massachusetts.
After high school, in 1959, he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Military Policeman. He served until 1962.
In May of 1962, he married the love of his life, Betty, in Austin, Texas; they had two kids, Danny and Lee.
He began his career with the Austin Police Department in 1969 serving on patrol and the motor unit. After promoting to Sergeant, he served in various units throughout the department, retiring from his favorite position as Motorcycle Sergeant. During his career, he received numerous awards and certificates, including the Police Medal of Valor.
After retiring from service in 1997, Emile enjoyed golfing, traveling with Betty, family, and friends (especially gambling trips), bowling, and spending time with his granddaughter and great grandboys. He was so proud of his family!!
Emile is survived by his loving wife, Betty, his son Danny and wife Joan, his daughter Lee and husband James, his granddaughter Karlee and husband Scott and their 3 boys Caiden, Barrett, and Lincoln Emile. He is also survived by his sister, Caroline and brother, Frances.
A visitation for Emile will be held Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 19, 2022 at 11:00 AM, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628. A burial will follow at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
