Efren Zepeta Ramos, some knew him as Huicho Dominguez, others knew him as Freddy Boy, age 66 of Leander, Texas, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, in Cedar Park, Texas. He suffered from bilateral pneumonia, congestive heart failure, two massive strokes, and airway obstruction leading to aspiration complications.
Efren was born on April 7,1958 to Erasmo Nolasco Morales and Albertina Zepeta Ramos, in Papantla, Veracruz de la Llave, Mexico.
At an early age, Efren worked multiple jobs. He was an employee as a sanitation worker and a dishwasher at a nursing home called The Wesleyan Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation, where he met his wife, Maria, who was an employee in the laundry department. Later in his age, he would partner up for work with his son, Saul. Then he found his profession, earning his name and establishing himself as a painter most of his life.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Delaluce Ramos; his mother, Albertina Zepeta Ramos; and his father Erasmo Nolasco Morales.
Efren is survived by his two children, Saul Ramos of Leander, Texas and Diana Ramos of Leander, Texas; his daughter-in-law, Courtney Ramos of Leander, Texas; his grandson, Tyler Roberge of Leander, Texas; his granddaughters, Elizabeth Ramos of Georgetown, Texas and Karizma Roberge of Leander, Texas; his great-grandchildren, Mia and Rosemary Salesi of Georgetown, Texas; his brothers, Sergio Morales of Austin, Texas, Leonidas Morales of Veracruz, Mexico; Oscar Morales of Wilson, North Carolina, and Arturo Senil Ramos of Veracruz, Mexico; and all of his nephews and nieces who love and cherished him.
Efren loved to paint houses, and barbeque at family gatherings, making everyone around him laugh by making conversations and goofing off. While drinking, he would balance a beer can on the top of his head, dancing. He also loved gardening his plants and crops and hanging with his friends. He would always be outside listening to his Spanish music with one beer in his hand and the other with his phone talking to his brothers, working on something, either cleaning his paint machines or moving his equipment to his work truck. He loved to eat his wife’s cooking, always snacking on fruit.
A rosary for Efren will be held Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, TX 78628.
