Edward Francis Holicky, Jr., was born October 21, 1942 in Cleveland, Ohio, to Edward Sr., and Margaret Jelenek Holicky. He passed from this life November 9, 2024 in Round Rock, Texas at the age of 82.
Edward had lived in Round Rock for the past 45 years, moving here from Apalachin, New York. He was a veteran of the United States Army, the Knights of Columbus and also served as a Deacon at St. John the Evangelist Church. He and Joan Staskus were united in marriage on July 9, 1966 at the Church of St. Louis in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Edward enjoyed sports and was an avid supporter of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. He worked for IBM and Dell as a Chemical Engineer for over 30 years.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan Holicky; children Richard Holicky (Ester Gonzales), Gregg Holicky, Edward Holicky (Michelle) and Andrew Holicky (Anh); grandchildren, Amanda, Allison, Edward, Gabrielle, Tiffany, and Samantha; sister, Marilyn Trausch.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024 from 4pm to 8pm at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at 10:00 am at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 3201, Sunrise Road, Round Rock, Texas. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Cemetery, 330 Berry Lane, Georgetown.
Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will continue to guide us, illuminating our paths with his eternal light.
