Doyle Sybert was born March 19, 1923 to Ed and Lottie (Smith) Sybert in Jarrell, Texas. Doyle departed this life October 2, 2011, at the Heroes Haven unit of the Olin E. Teague Veterans Hospital in Temple, Texas. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Jarrell, Texas.
Doyle was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Ruth, in 1995, his parents, Ed and Lottie Sybert, brothers, Jessie, Wayne, Marvin and Jack Sybert and his sister, Margaret Garfield.
He is survived by his son, George and wife Barbara of Jarrell, Texas; one grandson, Christopher and wife Kimberly of Jarrell, Texas; one great-granddaughter, Hannah of Jarrell, Texas; one brother, Darrell (Tom) Sybert and wife Lynada of Jarrell, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Doyle served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army with the 866th Aviation Engineers. When he returned from the war he married Ruth Cofield. They farmed and ranched in Williamson County.
The family will receive guests for a time of visitation at Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home in Georgetown, Texas from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 4, 2011. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas with Reverend Max Johnson officiating.
