She was educated at Quinnipiac College in Hamden, Connecticut. She loved traveling, reading, her family, and was for many years an active parishioner at St. Richard's Episcopal Church in Round Rock.
Denise was preceded in death by her father Robert Nelson Bartoo and her mother Cynthia Bartoo. She is survived by her husband, Philip; her children, Philip II, Adam, Rebecca, and Sarah; and her siblings, Robert and Karen.
The family would like to acknowledge the many doctors, nurses and therapists who helped her for the past year and a half.
A memorial service to celebrate Denise's life will be held Thursday, February 12, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Cook-Walden Davis Funeral Home, 2900 Williams Drive, Georgetown, Texas.
