Alfreda was born on December 5, 1932 in Chicago, Illinois, daughter to Waclaw and Mary (Siwinska) Wodarczyk. She was the only girl of five children.
At the age of 18, Alfreda moved from Chicago to Inglewood, California. There she lived with her aunt and cousins. She found a job working in a factory for many years. She later moved out on her own and joined a social club for singles. It was there that she met the love of her life and future husband, George Henry Hobbs, Jr.
George and Alfreda married on August 15, 1964. They had four children, George Henry III, William, James and Maryann. George and Alfreda gave their children wonderful lives that were full of love, laughter, family vacations and two beautiful dogs, Randy and Champ.
Alfreda loved nature, the outdoors and caring for her home. She was always cleaning and cooking. Her greatest joy came from caring for her husband, her children and her only grandchild, Shylie. She dearly loved them all.
Alfreda leaves behind her sons, William and James and his wife, Janet and granddaughter Shylie, all of Georgetown, Texas; her brother, Chester Wodarczyk and wife Therese; sister-in-law, Mary Donaj, all of Chicago, Illinois; sister-in-law, Dolores Gray of Beverly, Massachusetts; and many nieces and nephews.
Alfreda is preceded in death by her husband, George Henry Hobbs, Jr.; son, George Henry Hobbs, III; daughter, Maryann Hobbs; brothers, Eugene Donaj, Theodore Donaj, Matthew Donaj; sister-in-law, Madeline Davis; and nephew Mark Wodarczyk.
Alfreda will be deeply missed. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, and the best grandmother.
