Paula was an Underwriting Specialist in the Insurance Industry for over 40 years.
She enjoyed volunteering at Catawba Heights Baptist Church. Paula touched many people with her caring spirit and servant heart. She loved her cats, traveling with her family and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in passing by her husband of 50 years, George William Smith.
She is survived by her son, Jason Michael Smith and wife Sherry; grandsons, Tyler and Noah Smith; brother, Cleve Simpson.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 25, 2022 at Carothers Funeral Home at Gaston Memorial Park with the funeral service to begin at 2:00 pm with Pastor Raymond Johns officiating.
A graveside service will follow in the Garden of Devotion at Evergreen Cemetery, 1462 Armstrong Ford Road, Belmont, North Carolina.
