Lori Ann O'Dell

DALLAS - Lori Ann Johnson O’Dell, 43, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center. She was born in Gaston County and is the daughter of Toni Myers Messer and the late Robert Monroe Johnson, Sr.

Lori was a graduate of Bessemer City High School, attended Gaston College and formerly worked for NeuroScience and Spine Center of the Carolinas in the Billing Department. She was a member of Ragan Wesleyan Church.

Lori is survived by one daughter, Alanie O’Dell of Bessemer City; one son, Brian O’Dell and wife Kindra of Lincolnton: grandson, Braylon O’Dell; mother and step-father, Toni and Houston Messer of Dallas; two brothers, Robert Monroe Johnson, Jr. and wife Dawn of Bessemer City, Jesse Johnson and wife Melisa of Gastonia; fiancé, Chris Goines.

Lori will be taken to the home of Toni and Houston Messer, 1031 Walnut Springs Court, Dallas, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Soul’s Harbor Tabernacle, 271 Camp Rotary Road, Gastonia with Rev. James Chambers officiating.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.
