Larry Grant Eldridge, 86, of Mount Holly passed away peacefully on Monday December 21, 2020. Larry is the son of the late Mozell (Mullinax) and James Edley Eldridge. Larry was a first sergeant in The United States Army. He served two years in Vietnam and he was a liaison in Russia. His main focus in the Army was supply. Larry could always be counted on, by his superiors, to straighten out things and to make sure they were in line with Army protocol. But, most of all Larry was a dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be dearly missed by many.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Hubert Eldridge and Richard Eldridge.
Left behind to cherish their memories of Larry and to carry on his legacy are his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth “Beth” (Beaver) Eldridge and his children, Mary Stutts, Melanie Williams (Tim), Mindy Marriott, CJ Jackson, Mickey Eldridge (Tracy) and Jerry Tharp. Grieving the loss of their grandfather are, Kristen Bilbro (Thomas), Rachel Eldridge, Sarah Stevens, Katie Ogura (Tatsuo), Gabrielle Tharp, JC Stutts (Tiffany), Chris Williams, Johnathan Williams, Matthew Eldridge, Matthew Stevens, Michael Stevens, Travis Tharp, Jonas Jackson, Jeremiah Jackson, and Jacob Jackson. Larry leaves behind numerous great-grandchildren. Missing their brother are Eddie Eldridge and Mickey Eldridge.
